So, A guy walks into a bookstore...

I bought a lot of books this weekend. A LOT of books.
Here's the definitive list:
-The Jungle by Upton Sinclair
-Catch 22 by Joseph Heller
-Christine by Stephen King *
-Carrie (my second copy) by Stephen King *
-Gods and Heroes of Greek Mythology by Some Guy (I'll get back to you on that)
-1984 by George Orwell
*-Given to me as a gift.
I finished Christine today, and I loved it. I read it in four days, averaging 100-150 pages a day.

So, here's my book-shopping experience, in a nutshell:

It was a cloudy, snowy day. I walked into Barnes and Nobel with two things on my mind: Greek Mythology and Catch 22. I went straight for the fiction section, grabbing one of the two copies of Catch 22, and then asked someone at the help desk where to find books on Greek Mythology. So, after two minutes of searching, I found a great book that's about 800-1000 pages long that's filled with Greek Mythology, (for the title, see above list). I did some more browsing, picked up The Jungle because I'd been meaning to buy it for a while, and then checked out.

Later that night, (along with two other books), I had a $10 gift card to Target I wanted to spend. I was going to by Naked by David Sedaris, but I found that I didn't have sufficient funds to do so. So, I bought 1984 and some candy. I received the two Stephen King books as a gift for assistant directing a play at the local theatre. That was pretty awesome, too. So, that was my Saturday, in a nutshell.
